Happy trans day of visibility, everybody! Sorry this post is a day late, I was working all
day.
I want to take this time to acknowledge Aiden, and the excitement I have for him existing as
a trans man in media. Trans representation is incredibly hard to find, especially respectful
representation.
However, I also want to give a little PSA on respecting Aiden's character, and
understanding that he is both more than his transness and should be treated the same as
all the other men in the cast.
I'm sure most confusion comes from ignorance, but Tom's sexuality is not changed if he were
to be attracted to Aiden! He's gay, and Aiden is a man - nothing is changed for either of
their sexualities. Sorry if it's crude to say, but gay does not equal penissexual, LOL.
Let's also please refrain from applying words like "femboy" to Aiden. To begin with, it
doesn't even apply to him. A femboy is (now mainly in a sexual context) a man who dresses
explicitly and presents very feminine - which objectively, Aiden does not do. Defining him
as one overexagerates his femininity, when frankly he doesn't have that many feminine traits
or ways of presenting to begin with. It sort of implies he is inherently feminine simply for
being trans.
Let's please respect one another, and while Aiden isn't real to react to whatever things are
said in the fanbase - we have lots of trans members who are. Let's celebrate Aiden for his
representation without deminishing or defining him for it.
I was one of the lucky few who ended up seeing the episode on Monday, without the thumbnail
of Tom and Aiden kissing to scare the shit out of me. Though as soon as the episode was
ready for a premiere, my timeline was totally flooded with panic on what the hell Aiden was
doing!
I won't lie that it's pretty funny that the two of them together sends so much panic through
everyone.
It's fair enough, I adore him and James and know he's better than cheating. Just a little
reminder to respect each other, and that James is happily rooting for his boyfriend back in
the motel. The two of them clearly trust each other, he knows Aiden won't betray him and
just wants him to win.
Hey everyone! Sorry for the silence, we're understaffed at work so I've lost all my freetime haha. Episode 6 ended up releasing early this Tuesday due to leaks, so please go support ONC with a watch. Just a reminder that leakers are NOT welcome on here, in the fanbase, or anywhere else frankly. I'll post my thoughts later!
Here's the link to Episode 5! Granted, I'm two weeks late (or is it more now?). To be entirely honest, I don't think I'll post a little analysis of this episode, as I can't remember much more than this clip of Hunter hitting into a tree.
I watched episode 4 with my friend a little over a week ago, and we had some... reactions.
This season is definitely delivering on drama, and this is actually the first episode I was
able to watch without having the loser spoiled (thank god, finally).
Firstly, love to see Alec taking the lead on forming a villains alliance. I never
really considered him a villain, honestly. He kinda just does what he wants, and isn't that
personally mean or anything about it. He and Connor have been having some nice moments
together, and he still cares for Fiore - I think he's competitive, but definitely not
objectively evil. He's got like half his team in there though, so I wonder how long it'll
last. Yul isn't really the smartest, I can see him getting pissy and ruining things for them
all somehow.
Which led to some more arguing between him and Grett... Will she just leave him already?
He's not even that cute. It's a shame, she seems much kinder this season, but he keeps
yelling at her over nothing. I hope she ditches him for someone else at some point, it's
fitting for Yul to get some awful karma again.
Oh my god the relief I felt when it wasn't Tom comforting Aiden over losing Lake too...
Tom's freaking me out with how he's been acting. Tess also needed some more screentime,
she's really been disappearing among all the drama. I'm hoping she and Aiden can be friends,
especially since he's all alone now. Yes, he has Tom, but not without Jake constantly
watching the two of them. Which brings me to this...
That conversation Jake tried to have with Aiden in the challenge was SO awkward oh my god.
Aiden was clearly uncomfortable during it too, it was so embarrassing. Going from "Sorry I
voted off your boyfriend" to "Does Tom talk about me" is so uncomfortable.
I did laugh when he shoved Aiden over, look how angry he looks with it. There's some true
hatred in there.
Tom is just as bad! The way he yelled at Jake over pushing Aiden, and then goes to help him
like he broke his ankle is so awful. Everyone has already pointed out how hypocritical Tom
is being, seeing as he trips Grett in the same challenge with a huge grin on his
face.
And in the first challenge he instantly tackles James, Jake, and Ashley...
I get that it's a challenge, and if people get sneaky it's fine. But the fact Tom decides he
needs to call Jake out over doing the same things he does was so stupid. I feel awful for
Aiden, he didn't do anything but get stuck between the two of them and their awkward
issues.
I'm convinced at this point Tom will do something stupid like trying to kiss Aiden, and
it'll totally blow up.
Anyways, Miriam walked. I was convinced it would be Alec, seeing as he threw the challenge
pretty obviously and then was called out about his alliance.
The reason Connor voted for Miriam and didn't pick up that she was asking him to vote Alec
with her is beyond me, but she didn't seem too upset about it. Is Jake going to get worse
now that Miriam is also gone?
I'm fed up with both him and Tom. They need to work their shit out and leave Aiden out of
it, the fact it's even a question with him being happily taken is so stupid.
That's all for now. The new trailer should be out tomorrow, look out for that!
Episode 4 of All Stars released yesterday! The Spanish dub released about an hour after.
It's... another swimsuit challenge!
Get to watching, everyone. With a thumbnail like that, how can you not be interested?
I'll post my thoughts sometime soon.
Okay, WOW. What an episode, hahaha...
I'm not even fully sure where to begin, it felt like it went by in a flash of drama.
Firstly, Connor and Riya. I feel so bad for the guy, he clearly cares about her and
wants to see her happy. But, if she keeps acting like that, I think it's for the best
they let things be. I know she's kinder away from cameras, but it's like her entire
existence relies on being filmed - it's not reasonable to deal with, Connor!
So many couples seem to be falling apart here. Connor and Riya, then Hunter and Ally had their fight (where he basically ignored how upset she was...) and Grett and Yul are certainly something. I'll admit I didn't realize people actually liked them together, I thought it was meant to be obvious Yul didn't really care about her (especially since this is after Grett lost weight). The guy made his ex get plastic surgery, after all. He's not a nice person.
Even Ellie and Gabby had a moment, after Ellie basically spoke for Gabby on voting out Lake. Gabby looked hurt, but I think she's scared to bring it up. Ellie always gets too obsessed with the "game" portion of the competition, and seems to forget that she's like... with other people who have their own thoughts.
Tom also got to me a little. Why did he take it so personally that Lake was going to vote for him? Of course she wouldn't vote for her best friend, and the only other boy is Tom. I couldn't help but laugh when he said she was "gunning for him".
Lake's a serious competitor! Don't forget how she handled the slasher challenge in Season 2, team Cyan is going to suffer without her, I feel. Unless Tess begins to step up a bit more, she's sorta been blending into the background.
But poor Aiden, first James, then Lake. All he has left really is Tom, who has Jake watching angrily. I hope he can pull through!
That's all for today. The trailer or Episode 4 will be coming out soon, I'll post the link when it's public. Bye everyone!
Episode 3 of All Stars released today! The Spanish version is also available for all our
friends. It's another swimsuit challenge, but this time I won't get distracted staring
at
James. Get to watching, and share what you think.
I'll post my thoughts sometime
next
week!
The controversy of Jake's actions in Episode 2 are still fresh for debate, so I'm
throwing my
thoughts into the ring here.
Let me preface by saying I love both James and Jake, and
I'm
against the weird hostility people tend to have when they dislike a character. Just
remember
that needlessly hating on someone else's favorite is never neccessary, and aggression
doesn't have a place here.
While the season is still ongoing, and anything can really
happen, I am firm in my theory... That being Aiden sees all of Tom's actions are
friendly,
as he's openly happy and frankly obsessed with James. Maybe Tom is into him, or not, but
point is I don't think anything will happen between the two of them.
Jake's really not a malicious person, he's just a very sad guy who's still stuck on Tom
after
these years. Which is fair enough, Tom and him had a pretty deep connection in Season 1.
Being left on silent for two years has to hurt. I'd imagine there's some jealousy in how
loving James and Aiden are with one another, too. I'd be jealous!
Even in the
opening, at
the campfire James and Aiden are holding hands.
Jake's mainly just a sad guy going through it at this point, being back with Tom had to
have
brought back a lot of emotion. And as we know, Jake is pretty emotional...
James had
every right to go off on him, and he was fine with leaving since he knew he did the
right
thing. It's one thing to question him and his boyfriend, but fully accusing of cheating
is
something else. Especially since Jake hasn't even spoken to Aiden before!
But let's
also
not forget Jake's not the only one holding back his relationship with Tom... They've got
quite a communication problem.
Anyways, those are my thoughts. Remember to
respect
one another's thoughts on the matter too!
